Contact me at gemma@thehealingspacetherapy.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The Healing Space offers a range of counselling services, including individual therapy for adults, teens, and children. I believe in an integrative approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to best meet your unique needs. These may include:
I offer both in-person and online therapy sessions to provide flexibility and accessibility.
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. We can adjust session length to suit your needs, especially for younger children. Extended 80-minute sessions are available, particularly for those interested in creative/expressive arts or nature-based therapy. We can discuss this further during your initial consultation.
It’s completely normal to feel a little uncertain before your first session, and I want to reassure you that we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
In our first meeting, I’ll start by explaining how I work, including important things like confidentiality, boundaries, and what you can expect from the counselling process. We’ll use the session to get to know each other a little, and you’ll have the chance to share what’s brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get from it — but there’s no pressure to go into anything you’re not ready to talk about.
You’re welcome to ask any questions you have, and together we can begin to explore what ongoing support might look like. The first session is really about building a foundation of trust and making sure it feels like the right fit for you.
My aim is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel heard, supported, and able to be yourself.
I offer a variety of therapy options, including in-person sessions at my locations in Warrington and Carrington, Manchester. I also provide online sessions for added convenience. Additionally, I offer 'Walk and Talk' and 'Ecotherapy' sessions, conducted in mutually agreed-upon outdoor locations.
You can book a free 15 minute telephone consultation session using the 'Book Now' link on the homepage. Alternatively, you can use the website contact form, email or send a WhatsApp message.
I understand that things come, but please let me know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
My cancellation policy is as follows:
What we discuss in our sessions is held in strict confidence. This means that I will not share any information about our sessions with others, unless there are specific legal or ethical exceptions.
Exceptions to Confidentiality:
It is important to understand that these exceptions are in place to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure that I am providing the highest quality of care to my clients.
My current qualifications are:
Yes, I am fully insured through Holistic Insurance Services to work with both adults and children aged 7 and above. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate, which allows me to work safely and appropriately with children and young people.
