Supporting emotional wellbeing in schools requires more than strategies for behaviour, it requires understanding, safety, connection, and a whole-school approach that recognises the impact of trauma, stress, relationships, and environment on how children learn and feel.


At The Healing Space, I work with schools, nurseries, and community organisations to provide trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and strengths-based support for pupils, parents, and staff. My approach focuses on creating emotionally safe environments where children feel understood, staff feel confident, and families feel supported.

For Children & Young People (Groups or One-to-One)

I offer therapeutic wellbeing groups designed to help children develop confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills in a safe, creative space. These groups use play, relational connection, and positive psychology to support emotional development.



Children’s Group Themes Include:


  • Anxiety Support
    Helping children understand anxiety, learn calming tools, and build confidence.
     
  • Emotional Regulation & Big Feelings
    Using play, storytelling and creative activities to explore feelings and co-regulation.
     
  • Self-Esteem & Resilience
    Strengths-based sessions helping children notice their abilities, values and inner resources.
     
  • Friendship & Social Skills
    Supporting children to develop communication, boundaries and confidence with peers.
     
  • Transition Support
    For children moving from primary to secondary school - building confidence, coping strategies and emotional readiness.
     

Group Delivery:


  • 6-week programmes or standalone themed sessions
     
  • Small groups (6–10 pupils)
     
  • Suitable for KS1, KS2 and KS3
     
  • All group work is creative, relational, and grounded in trauma-informed practice.
     

Groups can be funded by the school or offered as part of wider wellbeing provision.
